This course is designed for individuals who may need to make decisions regarding the safety of occupants within a facility during an emergency. This includes providing instructions on the priority order for responding to an emergency, as well as the command, control, and coordination of facility emergency response procedures, and concluding the incident. Participants may also be required to act as the primary liaison with emergency services.
This role is typically undertaken by members of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO), such as wardens, area wardens, chief wardens, deputy chief wardens, and communications officers. The training covers key areas such as planning for emergencies, operating as part of an ECO, and initiating and controlling an emergency response.
Upon completion, students will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance. Client administration users will also have access to a student management portal, enabling them to view training records, download certificates, generate reports, and receive training reminders.
Course Objectives
This Chief Warden training course is designed to empower participants with the critical skills required to lead an effective emergency response, with a specific focus on the operation of Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs) and their role in a facility's evacuation procedures. The course will cover how the FIP integrates with and dictates the facility's emergency response, enabling Chief Wardens to make informed decisions and direct their team with precision.
Upon completion, students will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance. Client administration users will also have access to a student management portal, enabling them to view training records, download certificates, generate reports, and receive training reminders.
Course Objectives:
This comprehensive fire safety training course equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to prevent, identify, and respond to fire emergencies in the workplace. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on exercises, including the use of fire extinguishers on a controlled live fire, participants will gain the confidence to act decisively in the face of a fire threat.
Upon completion, students will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance. Client administration users will also have access to a student management portal, enabling them to view training records, download certificates, generate reports, and receive training reminders.
Course Objectives
Evacuation Exercises, or "Drills," are designed to test your facility's emergency response procedures. Conducted in accordance with AS3745-2010, the facilitator will initiate an emergency scenario and observe the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) response. Following the exercise, a debrief or After Action Review (AAR) will be conducted with ECO members. BTC will provide a full and detailed report, including pictures of the evacuation, as well as conclusions and recommendations for improvement. These recommendations can then be used to update facility response procedures.
This comprehensive program empowers participants to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. Through practical exercises, participants will learn to safely evacuate a building, understand the facility's emergency response procedures and life safety systems, and recognise and respond to instructions from the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO). By the end of the exercises, participants will be well-prepared to navigate emergencies, prioritise safety, and contribute to a successful evacuation process.
Course Objectives:
Navigating workplace safety training requirements can be confusing. In NSW, all businesses must provide basic emergency response training, covering evacuation procedures, equipment use, and first aid. This ensures your team can react effectively in an emergency.
However, some industries or insurance policies may require specific units of competency for emergency training.
We recommend that unless you have specific industry or insurance requirements, you start with our Compliance-Based Training to meet general WHS obligations. If you have specific industry needs or insurance requirements, explore our Nationally Recognised Training options.
